If you have read my Tampines Mall food guide, you probably already know I come here quite often. It is not just for the restaurants. What keeps me coming back is really the variety you can find in one place. While most people go for the bigger names, I somehow end up at Kopitiam more often than I expected.
It is just easy. Affordable, convenient, and very consistent. On days when I have no idea what to eat, I already know this is where I will land. After a while, you naturally shortlist a few go-to stalls, and these are the ones I keep going back to without even thinking twice.
So if you are wondering what to eat at Tampines Mall Kopitiam, these are the stalls I personally order from again and again.
1. Yuan Kee Dumplings

One of the newer additions to Kopitiam, and honestly I am so glad Yuan Kee is finally in the East. I used to go all the way to their outlet at NEX, so having them in Tampines now, plus another outlet at Pasir Ris Mall, makes things much more convenient.
This is what I usually go for when I want something comforting but not too heavy. Just be prepared to queue during peak hours because it does get quite popular. Their dumplings are handmade, and you can tell from the texture of the skin. It has that slight chew without being too thick, and the fillings are consistently juicy.
My usual order is the 三鲜虾仁鲜肉饺, which is the shrimp and vegetable pork dumplings. Sometimes I have it with noodles, but most of the time I go for the dumplings on their own with garlic sauce. It is simple, but it always hits the spot.
What I like most about Yuan Kee Dumplings is how dependable it is. You more or less know what you are going to get every time. No surprises, just a solid, satisfying meal.
2. Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo

Koo Kee is probably one of the longest-standing stalls in the food court, and it has become one of my most frequent orders at Tampines Mall Kopitiam. This is the stall I usually go to when I want something lighter, or when I feel like balancing out heavier meals from earlier in the day.
I almost always order the yong tau foo soup with spinach. The broth is clean and comforting, and it does not feel overly salty, which I appreciate. I also enjoy their dry noodles with the sweet sauce, which makes the whole bowl feel a bit more indulgent.
It is one of those safe, reliable choices that I can always count on.
3. HJH Maimunah Mini

Whenever I am really hungry, this is usually where I end up. HJH Maimunah Mini is one of the more popular stalls here, and it is quite clear why. The food is rich, flavourful, and very satisfying.
What I like is the variety. There are plenty of options across meat, seafood, and vegetables, so it is easy to put together a balanced plate. My parents usually go for their fish dishes, while I personally enjoy their vegetable dishes, which are always well cooked and full of flavour.
It is not the lightest option in the kopitiam, but it is definitely one of the most satisfying when you want a proper meal. Just be prepared to queue, especially during peak hours.
4. Riverside Indonesian BBQ

Another one of the longest standing stalls in the food court. It used to draw really long queues before more options came into Kopitiam. Honestly, that works out quite well for me now. When I am too hungry to wait, this is usually my first choice.
This is my go-to when I am craving something smoky and more flavour packed. Riverside Indonesian BBQ stands out because of its grilled dishes, which always come out fragrant and satisfying.
I usually order the ayam panggang with sotong (grilled chicken and squid) set. If either is sold out, I will go for the fish set instead. What I really enjoy is the sweet and smoky sauce they drizzle generously over the proteins. The sunny side up egg is almost always perfectly runny, and even the cabbage on the side is cooked just right.
I can already feel the craving coming back just thinking about it.
Why I Keep Coming Back to Tampines Mall Kopitiam
Even with so many dining options in Tampines Mall, I still find myself coming back to the kopitiam. It is not just about price or convenience. It is the familiarity that keeps pulling me back.
After a while, you stop overthinking what to eat. You already know exactly where to go depending on your mood. Dumplings when you want something comforting, yong tau foo when you feel like eating lighter, nasi padang for a proper hearty meal, or grilled dishes when you are craving something bold and smoky.
There are also plenty of other good stalls worth trying, like Qiu Lian Ban Mian, Old Airport Road Wanton Mee, Ann Chin Popiah, and more that you can explore on your own. It’s no wonder Kopitiam is always so crowded no matter what time of the day.
Final Word
If you are exploring Tampines Mall and feel a bit overwhelmed by all the food options, Kopitiam is honestly one of the easiest places to start. It may not be the most eye-catching part of the mall, but it is easily one of the most reliable.
For me, these four stalls are the ones I keep going back to without much thought. They cover different cravings, different moods, and different times of the day.
If you are looking for something more casual and everyday, Tampines Mall Kopitiam is where you will find it. I have also put together a Tampines 1 food guide if you are exploring more options around the area.
