Since the closure of our last good bánh mì spot in Tampines West, I’ve been on a mission to find a replacement that’s just as tasty. My search ended when Huong Pho, the popular Vietnamese eatery from Ubi, opened its new outlet right here in Tampines Central. I’m thrilled we finally have a genuine Vietnamese taste close to home, meaning we no longer have to travel far for a truly authentic bowl of pho and a fantastic bánh mì.
Why Huong Pho is A Must-Try
For those who haven’t tried it yet, Huong Pho specialises in the kind of honest, home-cooked Vietnamese food that’s hard to find outside of Vietnam. It’s not your typical mass-market Vietnamese chain; the focus here is on quality ingredients and a rich, time-intensive broth that’s the true soul of any great pho.
Must Order: The Pho (Noodle Soup)
The legendary Beef Pho (Phở Tái) is the main reason for the queues at their original outlet, and it’s just as good at the new Tampines spot.
The Broth: This is what separates Huong Pho from the rest. The beef broth is simmered for hours, giving it a clear yet deeply flavourful profile. It’s comforting, aromatic, and not overly oily or salty.
The Beef: The thinly sliced beef is tender and plentiful.
Often overlooked, their Chicken Pho (Phở Gà) is a masterpiece in its own right. The broth, simmered with kampong chicken, is clear, light, and wonderfully sweet, paired with tender, juicy slices of chicken. It’s the perfect comfort food for a cooler evening.
Pro Tip: Don’t forget to squeeze in the lime and add a bit of the fresh chilli for that perfect acidic kick!
Beyond the Pho: Other Must-Try Items
While the pho is essential, Huong Pho’s menu offers many other highlights you cannot miss.
If you crave a sandwich, the Bánh Mì Xíu Mai is a standout, featuring juicy Vietnamese pork meatballs topped with a salty sweet salted egg yolk, a truly unique and delicious take.
For something a little different, try the Bánh Mì Cá, a surprisingly good baguette filled with fresh sardine that has been steamed for hours until tender and infused with flavour.
Finally, no visit is complete without an order of their Chả Giò (Vietnamese Fried Spring Rolls). They are always freshly fried, shatteringly crispy, and the savoury filling pairs perfectly with the tangy dipping sauce.
Huong Pho Tampines Outlet Location
The Huong Pho Tampines outlet is conveniently located in Wellness Village, found in the basement of the Tampines MRT station (Downtown Line). This spot makes it an incredibly easy and great stop whether you’re commuting, working, or shopping in the area.
TL;DR: if you’re looking for the best, most authentic Vietnamese Pho and Banh Mi in the East side of Singapore, Huong Pho in Tampines is your new go-to place. Welcome to the neighbourhood!

Did you know that Tampines is now home to Singapore’s first dedicated fantasy and sci fi library? Nestled right inside the newly upgraded Tampines Changkat Community Club, this pop up library is a dream come true for book lovers of all ages, and as a Tampines resident, I couldn’t be more excited.
Why This Library is Special
Launched in February 2025, the Fantasy & Sci Fi Library is a National Library Board (NLB) initiative that will run for one year, until 22 February 2026. It’s not just another library corner, it’s a themed space designed to spark imagination and curiosity. The décor itself feels like stepping into another world, blending futuristic vibes with fantastical touches.
For those of us living in Tampines, it’s a rare treat to have such a niche library right in our own neighbourhood. No need to travel across town, our community club has become a hub for both science fiction fans and fantasy enthusiasts.
What You’ll Find Inside
The library offers a curated collection of more than 5000 books, spanning:
English and Mother Tongue titles (Chinese, Malay, Tamil)
Children’s books (nearly 1000 titles for kids aged 10 to 12)
eReads and eBooks available via the NLB Mobile app
From timeless classics to modern bestsellers, there’s something for everyone. Families in Tampines will love the children’s section, while older readers can explore both epic fantasy sagas and thought provoking sci fi novels.
Murals That Bring Stories to Life
One of the first things you will notice when you step inside are the murals that decorate the walls. These large scale artworks are inspired by iconic fantasy and science fiction themes, transforming the space into something far beyond an ordinary library.
The murals feature scenes of towering castles, futuristic cityscapes, dragons, and intergalactic travel, turning the library into a visual journey as much as a literary one. For kids, the artwork makes the space feel like an adventure playground, while adults will appreciate how the murals capture the spirit of the genres they love.
The murals also provide perfect backdrops for photos, making the library a truly Instagram worthy spot right here in Tampines.
Practical Info for Tampines Residents
Here’s what you need to know before your visit: 📍 Location: Level 3, Tampines Changkat Community Club, 13 Tampines Street 11, Singapore 529453 🕙 Opening Hours: Daily from 10am to 10pm (closed on public holidays) 📅 Duration: Pop up runs until 22 February 2026 📲 Access: Use your NLB eCard or library compliant ID to enter. Visitors without one can register for a free day pass using a Singapore registered mobile number or email. 📚 Borrowing: Each Singaporean can borrow up to 16 physical books and 16 eBooks at a time. As the Fantasy and Sci Fi Library is fully self service, all borrowing is done through the NLB Mobile app.
Pair Your Visit With Tampines Eats
A trip to the library is even better when paired with good food, and lucky for us Tampines has plenty to offer nearby.
If you are planning a weekend outing, you can start your morning browsing the fantasy shelves, then head over to the Tampines Round Market for a hearty hawker meal. From local breakfast favourites to affordable lunch options, it’s one of our community’s most beloved food spots.
For those who prefer something sweet, pop by Puffs and Peaks Bakery after your library visit. Their fresh pastries and cakes are the perfect treat while you flip through your new borrowings.
Why It Matters for Tampines
Having the Fantasy & Sci Fi Library in Tampines isn’t just about books. It’s about creating a shared space where residents can gather, discover new stories, admire the murals, and spark conversations. It positions our community as a vibrant part of Singapore’s reading movement while making our CC more than just a place for activities, it’s now a portal to new worlds.
Final Thoughts
As a Tampines resident, I feel proud that our neighbourhood was chosen to host NLB’s first ever fantasy and sci fi themed library. Whether you’re a lifelong bookworm or just looking for a new family outing, I highly recommend checking it out before it wraps up in 2026.
So the next time someone asks where to find the most magical spot in Tampines, you’ll know the answer: Changkat CC’s Fantasy & Sci Fi Library. And while you are here, don’t forget to explore the food gems around Tampines too.

If you love Taekwondo or are just curious about martial arts, Tampines is about to be buzzing with action. Three tournaments are coming up at Our Tampines Hub, perfect for practitioners, families, or anyone who wants to feel the energy up close. I’ve pulled together what we already know plus what past years suggest the vibe, atmosphere, and logistics are likely to be.
What’s Coming Up
Here are the three headline Taekwondo events happening in Tampines:
1. Singapore National Taekwondo Kyorugi Ambassador Championships 2025
When: 20–21 September 2025
Where: Our Tampines Hub
Registration: Closed
What to Expect: Multiple divisions within categories according to age and grade.
What to Expect: Poomsae (Masters division) and Kyorugi (Adult and Masters divisions)
3. 11th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championships
When: 5–7 December 2025
Where: Our Tampines Hub (venue to be confirmed)
Registration: Closed. Open for Taekwondo practitioners only.
What to Expect: Multiple divisions within categories according to age and grade.
What to Expect
To help you prep (or just get excited), here are some reflections from previous editions: what the tournaments are like in real life, what attendees say, and what you can look forward to.
Atmosphere & Scale
The Daedo Taekwondo Open has grown over the years. At the 10th Daedo Taekwondo Open held at Our Tampines Hub in 2024, there were over 70 teams from about 13 countries, and close to 2,000 separate event entries.
The mix of local clubs and international participants creates both a warm community spirit and a spectacular showcase. From kids to senior competitors, everyone brings passion and discipline to the mats.
This event boasts not just Kyorugi and Poomsae, but also Kyukpa (breaking) and virtual Taekwondo! It definitely gives everyone something to be excited about, even if you’re just watching!
For Participants & Spectators
All-day excitement: Mornings usually start with briefings, weigh-ins, and warmups, while evenings run late depending on the number of bouts.
Bustling venue: Volunteers, referees, and coaches keep things moving, but warm-up and waiting zones can get crowded. Arrive early to settle in.
Extras for spectators: You may expect participation booths and fun side activities. It’s worth checking out on event day.
Community & Learning
These tournaments aren’t just about medals, they’re about community spirit. Families, friends, and teammates fill the stands, creating an atmosphere that’s both loud and supportive.
For new or younger competitors, watching higher-belt athletes in action is motivating. Their moves, speed, and strategies provide a live “masterclass” in what good looks like.
Workshops and seminars, especially for Poomsae and black belt competitors, sometimes accompany the events, offering skill-building opportunities beyond the competition.
Tips for Tampines Folks
If you’re coming (as a participant or supporter), here are some tips that might help:
Plan Your Route: Our Tampines Hub is well-connected by bus and MRT, but mornings can get busy. Factor in travel and parking.
Arrive Early: Important for registration, weigh-ins, and warm-ups. Events usually run on a strict schedule.
Stay Fueled: Bring water and light snacks. OTH has food options, but queues get long during peak hours.
Cheer Loudly: Support clubs from Tampines and beyond. Your energy adds to the atmosphere.
Why Tampines is a Great Spot for Taekwondo
Hosting STF-sanctioned events at Our Tampines Hub makes Tampines a true hub for martial arts. The venue’s excellent facilities, accessibility, and track record with past tournaments (like the Daedo Open) make it ideal for both athletes and spectators.
For Tampines residents, it’s a chance to see high-level Taekwondo without traveling far, and maybe even to spot rising stars from neighbourhood clubs.
Wrap-Up: What to Mark on Your Calendar
📌 20–21 September 2025: Singapore National Taekwondo Kyorugi Ambassador Championships 📌 23 November 2025: Our Tampines Hub SG60 Taekwondo Legends Championship 📌 5–7 December 2025: 11th Daedo Taekwondo Open Championships
Whether you’re a practitioner, a proud parent, or simply looking for an exciting day out in Tampines, these weekends promise a mix of action, discipline, and community spirit. Keep an eye on STF announcements for detailed schedules, bout lists, and venue updates.

Plan Your October in Tampines
With a full calendar of October events spanning celebrations, cultural nights, sports, wellness activities, workshops, and community gatherings, Tampines is buzzing with energy and opportunities to engage. Whether you want to explore new hobbies, spend quality time with family, or simply enjoy the festive atmosphere, there is something happening for everyone to enjoy this month.
I have been a fan of Puffs and Peaks Bakery since the pandemic days at their first outlet in Tampines Central Community Complex. I still remember standing in line for their soft, fluffy brioche donuts, a little treat that brought so much comfort during that tough period. Today, I finally visited their brand new outlet at Tampines Changkat Community Club. The space is bigger, brighter and perfect for sitting down to enjoy their bakes fresh from the oven.
Why You Should Visit Puffs and Peaks Bakery
Puffs and Peaks has grown into a household name for Easties. Known for artisanal donuts, pastries and seasonal bakes, the bakery first made waves at the Tampines Central Community Complex. Now with a second outlet at Tampines Changkat Community Club, fans can enjoy a larger café space and an expanded menu.
Locations, Opening Hours and How to Get There
Puffs and Peaks Bakery, Tampines Central Community Complex (TCCC)
#03-03, 866A Tampines Street 83, Singapore 521866
Wednesday – Sunday: 10:30 AM – 5 PM
To reach the TCCC outlet, the nearest MRT station is Tampines MRT. From there it is a short bus ride or about a 15-minute walk. Drivers can park at the carpark within the complex, or at the open-air HDB carpark next to the complex.
Puffs and Peaks Bakery Café, Tampines Changkat Community Club (TKCC)
#01-03, 13 Tampines Street 11, Singapore 529453
Tuesday – Sunday: 9 AM – 7:30 AM
To reach the TKCC outlet, the nearest MRT station is Tampines West MRT on the Downtown Line. It is about a 20-minute walk from the station. For those driving, there is open-air HDB parking available behind the community club. Several bus services also stop along Tampines Street 11, making it convenient for visitors from other parts of the East.
What to Expect at the TKCC Café
The TKCC café marks an exciting upgrade for Tampines food lovers. The new space is bright, cosy and ideal for a casual breakfast, lunch or tea time break. The menu now features savoury plates alongside their iconic bakes.
During my visit, we ordered the prawn toast which was beautifully crisp on the outside and loaded with fresh prawn paste. Paired with Hainanese chilli, it gives another layer of fragrance to the dish. We also tried the wagyu sausage brioche toast, a hearty plate topped with scrambled eggs and tomato salsa. It was rich, comforting and a great option if you want something more substantial than a pastry.
The TKCC café also serves other MTO sandwiches, toasts, specialty drinks and a rotating selection of pastries such as pistachio tart, seasonal brioche donuts and danishes.
Must Try Items
The salted honey peanut butter donut is one of their most beloved creations. It combines the pillowy brioche base with a creamy filling that balances sweet and savoury notes. Another standout is the roasted pistachio tart. With a nutty, aromatic filling and a buttery crust, it is both indulgent and refined, perfect for pistachio lovers.
One of my personal favourites from the past was their mushroom focaccia which sadly is no longer on the menu. However, the seasonal offerings ensure there is always something exciting to try.
Why Puffs and Peaks Stands Out in Tampines
Tampines has many bakeries but Puffs and Peaks stands out for its dedication to freshness and creativity. Their brioche based donuts are pillowy soft and filled with unique flavours that change regularly. Every visit feels like a chance to try something new.
The TKCC café is more than just a bakery. It is a space where residents can relax and enjoy handcrafted food without leaving the neighbourhood. It is ideal for families, friends or solo visitors who appreciate quality food made with care.
Pro Tips
Here are a few tips if you are planning a visit.
There is no GST or service charge, which makes the experience even sweeter.
They accept CDC vouchers so you can order and enjoy your favourite pastries to your hearts’ content (hehe).
Follow their Instagram page for updates because their seasonal menus change frequently and sell out quickly.
If there is something you really want, you can preorder online and pick it up at your preferred outlet to avoid disappointment.
A Tampines Resident’s Perspective
Puffs and Peaks Bakery has become part of Tampines’ culinary identity. It started as a humble takeaway outlet during the pandemic and has now expanded into a stylish café without losing its charm. Their commitment to quality, presentation and creative flavours makes them one of the best bakeries in Tampines.
For residents of Tampines, this is a local business worth supporting. Whether you are craving an indulgent brioche donut, a freshly brewed coffee or a savoury toast, Puffs and Peaks is the place to go. If you are planning a food trail in Tampines, you can pair a visit to Puffs and Peaks with a hearty meal at the Tampines Round Market hawker centre, which is just a short walk away.
As a foodie, I know that cravings can strike well past dinnertime. Whether you are heading home from work or looking for a bite after a late night out, Tampines has plenty of great options for supper. From 24 hour prata joints to cosy dessert cafés, this neighbourhood is home to some of the best supper places in Tampines. If you are wondering where to find a reliable and satisfying late night supper in Tampines, here are five top spots that locals and visitors alike love.
1. Srisun Express
Srisun Express is one of Tampines’ most reliable supper spots because it is open 24/7. No matter when your cravings strike, you can always count on this place for freshly made dishes.
The menu is extensive, with everything from crispy prata in different variations to hearty murtabak filled with chicken or mutton. There are also comforting Indian Muslim staples such as mee goreng and biryani, along with a good selection of drinks.
Prices are reasonable, which makes this a great choice if you are hungry at three in the morning or coming home from a late shift. The casual, bustling vibe adds to its charm and makes it a popular neighbourhood choice.
Address: 474 Tampines Street 43, #01-118, Singapore 520474
2. Al Makan
Al Makan, formerly known as Al Azhar, is a favourite for supper lovers in the East. This restaurant opens early in the morning and closes at 2:30 AM, making it ideal for late night gatherings.
The menu is incredibly diverse, offering tze char style dishes, Malay favourites, Indian classics like prata and murtabak, and Western comfort food. The wide range of choices makes it perfect for groups with different preferences, whether you are in the mood for spicy sambal fried rice, crispy prata, or a burger.
Prices are fair, and portions are generous. The spacious setting makes it easy to relax over supper with family or friends.
Address: 201D Tampines St. 21, #01-1155, Singapore 524201
3. Kimly Coffeeshop
Kimly Coffeeshop on Tampines Street 81 has a quiet charm and food that fills up the belly late. It houses nine stalls, with four operating around the clock.
The variety is excellent for a coffeeshop, offering dim sum, pau, Teochew porridge, roasted meats, and noodles. This spot is especially appealing if you prefer something lighter like porridge or dim sum late at night.
Prices are wallet friendly, and the casual coffeeshop atmosphere makes it feel like a comforting neighbourhood hangout. It is not as flashy as a full restaurant, but the food is consistent, tasty, and satisfying for late night cravings.
Address: 827 Tampines Street 81, #01-128, Singapore 520827
4. Saffrons @ 201D
Saffrons is a long time favourite in Tampines for hearty meals at any hour of the day. Open 24 hours daily, it is best known for its aromatic biryani, which is rich and flavourful with generous portions of meat and fragrant rice. The menu also features roti prata, murtabak, fried chicken, and other comfort dishes that pair perfectly with its signature curry and sambal.
The place is popular with supper goers, so it can get busy late at night, but the food quality is consistently good. This is the spot to visit if you are craving robust flavours and a true mamak style dining experience.
Address: 201D Tampines St. 21, #01-1163, Singapore 524201
5. Glasshouse Creamery (CLOSED)
If you are in the mood for something sweet instead of a heavy meal, Glasshouse Creamery is the perfect spot. Located within The Alps Residences, it offers a cosy and stylish space with desserts that feel like a treat.
Its mochi waffles are a must try, with a chewy texture that pairs beautifully with a wide selection of ice cream flavours, including unique Asian inspired creations. The café also serves light savoury bites such as karaage chicken and popcorn chicken.
Glasshouse Creamery is open until two in the morning on Fridays and Saturdays, and until eleven at night on other days, making it ideal for a relaxed weekend nightcap or a sweet indulgence after a late dinner.
Address: The Alps Residences, 117 Tampines Street 86, #01-51, Singapore 528538 (You do not have to enter the condo, walk towards the right from the main entrance of the condo.)
Tips for Choosing Your Supper Spot
Timing matters: If it’s after 1 or 2 AM, the 24-hour ones (like Srisun and Saffrons) are your safest bets.
Halal vs non-halal: Important if you or your companions observe dietary restrictions. Many late-night spots around here are halal-certified (like Srisun, Saffron’s, Al Makan).
Distance & transport: Walking works if it’s nearby. For farther ones, consider whether public transport or ride-share is convenient at those late hours.
Price point: Supper is usually affordable, but some dessert cafés or premium dishes come at a higher price.
Conclusion
Finding a late night supper in Tampines is easy when you know where to go. With 24 hour eateries, family friendly restaurants, and cafés serving sweet treats until the early hours, this neighbourhood truly caters to every craving.
If you are searching for the best supper places in Tampines, Srisun Express is a dependable choice at any hour, while Al Makan offers a wide variety of dishes in a lively setting. No matter which spot you choose, Tampines proves you do not need to travel far for a satisfying and flavourful meal late at night.
If you live in Tampines or visit this vibrant neighbourhood often, you know that Tampines 1 is a popular mall with plenty of shopping and dining choices. Whether you are planning a casual lunch, a family dinner, or just a quick bite, Tampines 1 has something for every craving. I have put together this Tampines 1 food guide to help you decide what to eat at Tampines 1. From comforting local flavours to trendy international cuisines, here are some of the best restaurants to check out.
1. OPPA Bibimbap
OPPA Bibimbap is a highlight at Tampines 1, serving sizzling hot stone bowls that combine perfectly seasoned rice with vibrant vegetables and tender protein options. Each bowl arrives with a satisfying crackle, the rice forming a crispy golden crust at the bottom that adds a delightful texture. Complimentary seaweed soup and kimchi round out the meal, giving it a homely Korean touch.
For a meatless option, the cheese bibimbap offers a creamy richness, while the seasonal unagi bibimbap provides a flavourful twist that is both hearty and refreshing. With its generous portions and authentic flavours, OPPA Bibimbap is a spot I find myself returning to whenever I crave comforting Korean food.
2. Collin’s
Collin’s at Tampines 1 stands out for its hearty, flavour-packed Western fare, especially their Signature Mixed Grill, a perennial must-order from the coffeeshop-turned-restaurant concept. The dish arrives with succulent grilled chicken chop, savoury pork chop and Iberico bratwurst, accompanied by roasted potatoes, mushroom ragout and fresh vegetables, all draped in your choice of bold sauces like harissa, chimichurri, or black pepper. The meats are juicy and richly seasoned, and the sides adding a satisfying texture.
I find myself drawn back to Collin’s not just by the familiarity of its name from their N4 neighbourhood days but by the generous, consistent flavours that make every visit feel like coming home to a familiar, reliable favourite.
3. Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen
At Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen in Tampines 1 one must-order standout is the Braised Shredded Seafood with Superior Thick Soup. This substantial claypot dish brims with crab meat, prawns, and silky broth that’s both comforting and deeply savory, making it a perennial crowd favourite. Equally compelling is their roasted meat platter, especially the Crystal Jade Signature Pork Belly, with its rich, sweet-savoury glaze and an addictive meat-to-fat ratio that many diners rave about. These dishes combine bold Cantonese character with generous servings, which I find hard to resist when craving a filling, flavour-packed meal at the mall.
4. Hawkers’ Street
Hawkers’ Street at Tampines 1 brings together some of Singapore’s favourite hawker classics all in one place. The food court is home to a variety of stalls offering everything from Hainanese curry rice to comforting noodle soups, making it easy to find something for any craving. The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, perfect for a quick lunch or a casual dinner with friends and family.
Jiak Song at Hawkers’ Street is one of my favourites. Their handmade mee hoon kway is soft yet springy, soaking up the rich, flavourful broth with every bite. The bowl is packed with minced pork, tender pork slices, and juicy handmade pork and prawn balls. Topped with crispy anchovies and a soft-boiled egg, it is the kind of meal that feels warm, satisfying, and thoroughly comforting. It is definitely a must-try if you want a taste of classic Singaporean hawker food right here in Tampines.
5. Lau Wang Claypot Delights
Lau Wang Claypot Delights offers a variety of options in their menu, but the Pig Liver Claypot stands out as my must-order. The liver is stir-fried with ginger, onions, and garlic, creating a rich and flavorful dish that pairs perfectly with steamed rice. It’s a hearty and satisfying meal that never disappoints.
Their signature Sesame Oil Chicken is a crowd favourite, tender chicken pieces simmered in a rich, aromatic sesame oil sauce that pairs perfectly with a bowl of rice. Another standout is the Sambal Seafood, featuring a mix of fish, squid, and lady’s fingers in a spicy, savoury sambal gravy that adds a satisfying kick to the meal. For something lighter, the Traditional Nyonya Chap Chye offers a medley of vegetables stewed to perfection, providing a balance to the richer dishes.
The portions are generous, making it a great spot for sharing with family or friends. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or a comforting dinner, Lau Wang Claypot Delights offers a satisfying meal that feels like home.
6. Tan Yu
TanYu is a must-visit for fans of bold, spicy flavours. Their signature Grilled Fish with Green Pepper is a standout. The fish is grilled to perfection and served in a bubbling, aromatic broth infused with green peppercorns, delivering a delightful numbing and spicy kick. You can choose from various fish options, with sea bass being a popular choice. The meal comes with a generous portion of rice and a selection of side dishes, making it hearty and satisfying.
TanYu has many branches across Singapore, so you do not have to be in Tampines to enjoy their signature flavours, but I am including it here because it is my favourite spot for grilled fish. The restaurant’s modern and vibrant ambiance adds to the overall dining experience, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
Final Word
Tampines 1 is full of dining options that cater to every craving, from comforting local favourites to hearty Western and Asian dishes. Whether you are a resident like me or just visiting, there is always something new to try. These restaurants are my personal go-to spots that never disappoint, but if you are looking for even more ideas, check out my guide on what to eat in Tampines Mall for a full list of must-try eats around the area.
Planning a trip to IKEA Tampines to get your home decor fix? As a local, I know that navigating to the massive retail park can be a little tricky if you’re not familiar with the area. But don’t worry, this guide will give you all the information you need to get to IKEA Tampines smoothly, whether you’re taking the MRT, a bus, or even the free shuttle bus.
How to Go to IKEA Tampines by MRT
There is no MRT station directly at IKEA Tampines, so the closest station is Tampines MRT (EW2/DT32). From there, you have a few options to complete your journey:
Option 1: The Free IKEA Shuttle Bus (The Easiest Way!)
This is by far the most convenient and popular option. IKEA provides a free shuttle bus service from Tampines MRT station directly to the store.
Where can I wait for the IKEA shuttle bus in Tampines? The pick-up point is located at the Pick-Up/Drop-Off Point along Tampines Central 4, just outside Exit B of Tampines MRT station. Look for the designated bus bay, which is often clearly marked with IKEA signage.
Free shuttle bus to IKEA Tampines schedule: The shuttle bus operates daily, including public holidays.
Weekdays (Mon-Fri): Services run from 12:00 PM to 8:15 PM, with varying frequencies.
Weekends & Public Holidays (Sat-Sun): Services run from 12:00 PM to 8:15 PM, with more frequent intervals.
Tip: Shuttle bus timings are subject to traffic conditions and capacity is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re visiting on a weekend, be prepared for a queue!
Option 2: Taking a Public Bus from Tampines MRT
If the shuttle bus queue is too long, or if you prefer a different route, you can also take a public bus from Tampines Bus Interchange, which is located just next to the MRT station.
How to go to IKEA Tampines by bus from Tampines MRT:
Take Bus Service 296 from the Tampines Bus Interchange. This is a dedicated feeder service that loops around Tampines North, with a direct stop right outside the Tampines Retail Park (IKEA, Giant, and Courts).
Alternatively, you can take Bus Service 27 or Bus Service 168 from the bus stop nearest to the MRT station (76141 Tampines Stn/Int). These services also stop along Tampines Avenue 10, just a short walk from IKEA. Look for the bus stop named “Tampines Wafer Fab Pk”
How to Go to IKEA Tampines by Bus (from other areas)
IKEA Tampines is well-served by public buses, making it accessible from various parts of the island. Here are some key bus services that stop near the retail park:
Bus Services 27, 34, 58, 68, 118, 168, and 296.
The most convenient bus stop is Bus Stop ID 75359 on Tampines Avenue 10, named “IKEA Tampines/Aft TPE”. From here, it’s a very short walk to the main entrance.
Getting to IKEA Tampines from Serangoon
For those coming from the North-East Line, there’s another convenient option to consider. IKEA Tampines also runs a free shuttle bus service from Serangoon MRT.
Where can I wait for the IKEA shuttle bus in Serangoon? The pick-up point is at the informal shuttle bus lay-by behind the overhead bridge, near Exit E of Serangoon MRT station. Look for the signs for the shuttle bus.
Free shuttle bus to IKEA Tampines from Serangoon schedule:
Weekdays (Mon-Fri): Services run from 1:00 PM to 8:05 PM.
Weekends & Public Holidays (Sat-Sun): Services run from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
As a resident, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that your trip to IKEA can be a one-stop shopping experience. IKEA is part of the Tampines Retail Park, a massive retail hub that also houses two other major stores:
Giant Hypermarket: Located right next to IKEA, Giant is a colossal hypermart where you can get everything from groceries to household essentials and even electronics. It’s a great place to stock up on supplies.
Courts Megastore: For all your electronics and home appliance needs, Courts is just a short walk away. You can find everything from TVs and laptops to refrigerators and washing machines.
Shopping at these hypermarts is a fantastic way to explore what Tampines has to offer and get a feel for the local life. It’s definitely one of the top things to do in Tampines, especially if you’re furnishing a new home!
Now that you know all the best ways to get there, and what else to see while you’re there, you’re ready to embark on your IKEA adventure. Happy shopping!
